27 trees were planted on Piney Point on May 6-7, 2016. Twenty of these were Legacy Trees, purchased and donated by Friends members and other individuals in honor of loved ones and relevant concepts. The trees were planted by Friends members and NJSOC staff. The planting was followed by a beautiful ceremony featuring historical information, legacy tree dedications, performance of an interactive poem, and a blessing of the trees. Well done, Friends of NJSOC!
