Join us for a full day of climate education designed to increase your knowledge and classroom resources as you implement the new New Jersey standards which include climate change across the curriculum.
We will take advantage of the bucolic setting of the NJ School of Conservation to investigate local indicators of climate change, and then connect our results to our local and global communities. Numerous classroom resources will be field tested with participants including an art project based on the work of glaciologist Jill Pelto, how to access and utilize data and how to conduct a school campus albedo audit.
This workshop will be facilitated by Dr. Nancy FitzGerald and Dr. Missy Holzer, former classroom teachers and experts on climate change education in New Jersey.
Workshop fee includes continental breakfast, lunch and all workshop materials.
